Mi Escape (/mī/ /əˈskāp/) (/mi/ /i’skapē/)
We are a family of 6 from Michigan who found North Captiva completely by accident. Our triplet daughters and son all wanted to go someplace warm for spring break so the search began. The vacation home search went on forever and finally a house was found on Captiva. Mom and Dad had been there before and it was going to be great.

“WAIT A MINUTE, the house is on North Captiva.”
The research commenced and we decided to make the best of it and see how it all worked out. It was absolutely awesome. Countless hours were spent pool side, and walking the sandy roads to the gorgeous beach, and bouncing along on a golf cart to get ice cream, and collecting as many shells and sand dollars as we could carry.
We fell in love with the quiet slower pace of this beautiful island in the sun. No traffic jams, no pressure to be somewhere and no reason to hurry. We were smitten and started looking for any reason to get back.
“Honey I have a great idea, lets all go down for winter break.”
Fast forward and we are proud owners of a great place on this sun kissed little island. We can now escape from long, cold, dreary Michigan winters whenever we want to.
A problem that we didn’t even know we had was now SOLVED!
