You won’t find much for groceries available on North Captiva. Mangoes has a few of the essentials but certainly not enough to keep a hungry family fed for a week. Boats and Fun can arrange for fresh seafood to be delivered from the mainland with 24 hours notice. Most guests bring the food and drink they are going to need with them. In general you will need to bring more food than clothes.
Stop and Shop
If you are coming by car you can stop at any number of grocery stores in Cape Coral or on Pine Island. There is a Winn Dixie very near the North Captiva Island Club Ferry location. Remember to check with your ferry provider for limitations on how much can be brought on board with you.
Publix / Instacart
Publix at Coral Shores and Calusa Cay will allow you to place on order online through Instacart and they will have it ready to go for you when you arrive. Pine Island Taxi will stop on the way to the ferry so that you can pick up your supplies. There is a small charge for this service but many feel that it is well worth the money to save on time. The order can be placed several days ahead of time as they allow you to specify pickup time at checkout. All orders should be placed at least 48 hours in advance. You may modify your order right up to the time they begin to pick your order. You can place your order online or from their mobile app. We have prepared a guide to walk you through this option. Instacart is horribly unreliable during busy times. Your order will likely NOT be ready for you at your requested time during peak season. Use at your own risk during busy time (ie, Christmas, spring break). If you want to be sure you have your supplies on time either stop and shop or use one of the grocery services.
